Okay, so. I was chosen to go on an alternative service break trip to San Francisco. You can learn more about that here, but basically I get to spend my spring break helping out at homeless shelters and stuff, and it's actually pretty awesome.

But it is also pretty expensive. The entire trip + expenses comes up to a little less than 1000 dollars. There are scholarships and stuff for it, which I have applied for and as of this post don't know if I will actually receive. But, even with that, it's still a bit beyond my means. I've been trying to come up with ways to raise money towards it, and currently my most marketable talent is my artistic skill, so …

BUY MY ARTWORK! I will draw anything! Anything you want! You are guaranteed to get it, and you will get it by January (which is when all my trip money is due)! But my art comes in different shapes and sizes and forms, which I will price accordingly.

I draw a lot of things (mostly draw things, tbh) in this doodly style that I would almost call Adventure Time-esque but not really since I've drawn stuff this way long before I'd ever watched Adventure Time:
one | two | three | four

I also have a style that is less doodly (although some of these examples are really old and probably not a good representative since I don't really do anime-style anymore …)
one | two | three | four

And since I finally found my tablet pen, I can also offer you digital art in either style of your choice:
one | two | three | four

This is the current price range I have in mind:

doodle things: $2
srs: $4

doodle things: $3
srs: $5

All of the hand-drawn stuff runs higher because, basically, I use really high quality supplies. I draw on bristol board (mostly 270 gsm but I have left over 250 gsm board I may also use), ink with a mixture of Copic and Micron pens, and color with a mixture of Copic and Prismacolor markers. Idk how much y'all know about art supplies but that shit ain't cheap.

I can also mail the hand-drawn things to you, if you'd like a physical copy! But I have a caveat about that -- I draw really small and fit several things on one page, so don't be surprised if what I send you is only like … idk, 3"x4" (and ghetto-ly cut out). The price for that would the the normal price +$1 (or more depending on if for some reason the shipping fee totals more than that.)

But seriously I will draw whatever you want, just let me know and be as specific as possible so you are not heartbroken with disappointment.

I also do A Softer World remixes and have an archive of the ones I've done right here. Charging for them feels kind of morally dubious since it's kind of like … ripping off someone else's work … but if you give me one dollar I will make you one! Yep, one whole dollar. And you're guaranteed for me to finish it, unlike all the times I've asked for requests and … never finished them. Oopsies.

As for payment, I operate through PayPal since it's easiest/most convenient, but if you don't have PayPal or refuse to conform to the machine because they're evil (which I get, no big), just let me know and we'll work something else out.

I almost fainted today because I keep forgetting to eat. I'm so badass. But I filled out more job applications and listened to Paramore's new CD, which is almost as badass as me. lmfao.

And... it's a sad day in my life. For this reason:

Ruthi: i think my beansprouts went bad :(
Ed: ew.
Ed: *typed we*
Ed: we ruthi. we. :(
Ruthi: LOL
Ruthi: we what
Ruthi: we are awesome
Ruthi: yeah i know
Ed: we, your bean sprouts went bad. :(
Ed: apparently I'm ... part of your bean sprouts
Ruthi: LMFAO
Ruthi: there's stil... so many of them
Ruthi: and i loved them so much
Ruthi: i don't want to let them go ;_;
Ed: if they're bad ruthi, it's time.
Ed: :( it's .. time.
Ruthi: LMFAO
Ruthi: that's... so dramatic
Ruthi: i'm imagining soap opera music now
Ruthi: i'll put my bean sprouts in an urn
Ruthi: and cast them into the ocean
Ed: then they'll always be with you.

I had some very special award-winning moments last night that I... almost want to post in my journal. Then I was like "Oh Ruthi then everyone will see what a retard you are." But I guess... they already know. And LMAO it... was pretty funny. :( It'll be a reminder to myself. If I ever think about drinking too much again I'll just look at this post and... remember. Why I shouldn't.

some highlights from last night, mostly me... rambling incoherently about heroes and singing ScarsCollapse )
